Hey everyone! Today I'm gonna share a few things I've had my eye on. I'm especially loving the Tory Burch clutch. The blush color is gorgeous, and the strap reminds me of Chanel's classic chains. I'm gonna have to pick one up for the spring, maybe pair it with a white tshirt, jeans, and heels, or a simple shift dress for going out. It's one of those bags that will transition well from day to night. Hope you're having a great week!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am an absolute sucker for weddings, and anything related to them. Dresses, decor, flowers, cake... I love all of it. However, being the fashion nerd that I am, when I'm at a wedding (or reading about one), my first point of interest is always the dress. Is it an A-line or a ball gown? Sweetheart neckline or bateau? Tulle or silk? Even though I don't plan on getting married for a long, LONG time, I'm fascinated by wedding dresses. Maybe it's because of their gorgeous detailing, and the fact that they're (more or less) always the same color, which makes it easier to focus on said detailing. But another thing I'm an absolute sucker for? Elie Saab. He is my absolute favorite designer, and has been for a while. So what do you get when you combine Elie Saab and weddings? A really, really gorgeous collection, and one very happy Kat. This particular label is called Elie by Elie Saab, and I'm absolutely in love. Here are a few of my favorites:
As the lineups for Electric Forest, Pitchfork, and Governor's Ball hit the internet, everyone's starting to think about festival season! It's easily one of my favorite times of the year... it's a time to twirl around in the sun while wearing a flower crown, make friends from far away places, and listen to great music at volumes that will probably give you slight hearing loss (totally worth it, in my opinion). Whether you're looking for the candy bracelet, neon tutu, electronic appeal of Ultra, the flower child feel of Coachella, or a festival that's a mixed bag, like Bonnaroo, festivals are a lot of fun. My festival of choice has been Lollapalooza in Grant Park, Chicago for the last 4 years, and each time, I've had the time of my life. I like to think of it as a giant, 3 day party with several hundred thousand of my closest friends. However, one question that comes to mind for most festival goers: just what do you wear to a music festival? I've put together a few looks to get you started!
Top / Shorts / Necklace / Sunglasses / Flower Crown / Sandals
Since I was born, I've lived with dogs. To date, my family has had 4 of them... 3 yellow labs, and 1 spaniel mix. Needless to say, I didn't have much of a choice in becoming the huge dog lover I am today. Even though I have a cat who I love to pieces, I will always be a dog person at heart, and I will always melt into an absolute puddle (and make really annoying noises) when I see one on the street. Today, to celebrate my favorite four legged friends, I've rounded up some really cute dog-themed home decor pieces. If you're looking to add a canine touch to your abode without the barking or weird smells, take a look below!
For a long time now, alice + olivia has been one of my favorite labels. I first fell in love while watching Gossip Girl, seeing their designs on the ever-elegant and stylish Blair Waldorf. Today, I was browsing ShopBop (which is my homepage... oops), and came across their latest stunningly gorgeous dress. It instantly reminded me of a dress that I was coveting back in December which, unfortunately, quickly went out of stock in my size. This alice + olivia dress is like a sleeveless, red version, and I couldn't be more obsessed. It's an ideal piece for any spring wardrobe, as well as a reminder that this cold wont last forever, and there will soon come a day when I can wear this while frolicking through a field. Or, you know, the sidewalk. Or the drugstore. Who cares? I would find every excuse under the sun to wear this dress.
Hey everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! Or, as I like to call it... "day before discount candy day." Today is about celebrating love, and what better way to do that than to celebrate your love for yourself? Whether you're single, taken, or "complicated," it's important to always remember the most important person in your life... you. Remember that it's important to be nice to yourself, and to give just as much love and attention to yourself as you would to anyone else. And in the words of Donna from Parks and Rec... "Treat yo self." Luckily, I've come up with a way to help you do that... I've hand picked some kiss-worthy items for you to treat yourself to this Valentine's Day. Enjoy!
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I'm gonna share a few things I've been coveting recently. Especially that coat... so cute, and I just adore the pop of color in the lining. Hope you're having a great week!
